Completed Designs

Screen Printing near completion!

The final screen after being used. A more opaque ink and as you can see dried very quickly so we had to work like the clappers!
A close up of the hand prints.
Correct angle, constant pressure, enough ink...wallahhh!
As time consuming as the preparation is...it all comes together when printing several shirts at once. Making sure they are printed efficiently to stop the ink from drying out.

Prining Day 1

Successful day in the office. 8 t-shirts complete and ready to add chairty logos!
A hair dryer or a piece of Men in Black weaponry??
A good action shot printing the first set of shirts. After quick master class!

First colour on! Ready to add the text.

Screen Printing is under way!

Fail to prepare...prepare to fail!
Although the preparation is fairly time consuming, it is well worth it when it comes to printing them and getting it right (or as close as we need with handmade products!)
Prepared to print! This is when I fully understood how screen printing works, and the wonders of single colour prints. Never mind! Live and learn.

Teach a man to fish!

I am currently working on a competition brief, designing t-shirts for the charity 'teach a man to fish'. The name comes from the Chinese proverb:

"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.
Teach him how to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime".

The charity work mainly with schools in South America and Africa aiming to make them self sufficient, giving 'education that pays for itself'.

I will post my designs soon. The shirts will be screen printed and sold with all profits going to the chairty. So please give me your support soon!!
